Gilbert Doumit

Gilbert Doumit is the Group Managing Partner at Beyond Group. He has been a key driver in shaping the firm’s strategic vision, business growth, and international expansion, positioning Beyond Group as a trusted advisor to governments and organizations worldwide. 

For over two decades, Gilbert has advised governments and development partners on strategic policies in complex and fragile environments, focusing on public sector development, organizational transformation, and governance systems. 

His work has spanned more than 30 countries, where he has led transformative, multi-stakeholder projects. Notable collaborations include work with the Ministry of Commerce and Investment in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Kuwait, the Ministry of Energy in Mauritania, the Parliament of Nepal, the Lviv Government in Ukraine, as well as in countries like Armenia, Kenya, and Yemen. Additionally, he has partnered with international agencies such as the United Nations, the World Bank, and the European Union.

Before his extensive work in the public sector, Gilbert was a consultant to multinational and large companies, specializing in organizational and leadership development, change management, and culture transformation. He has also coached senior managers and policymakers globally, guiding them in their leadership journeys. 

A Yale World Fellow '08' and a lecturer at Université Saint-Joseph (USJ), Gilbert has taught in various university seminars on public leadership, policymaking, and intercultural mediation. He has published extensively on topics including public policy innovation, social protection, social entrepreneurship, social movements, and nation-building. Gilbert is a founding member and board member of several nonprofit organizations and think tanks in the MENA region, contributing actively to societal development. 

Gilbert holds a Master’s of Advanced Management from ESCP Business School, an MBA from Ecole Supérieure des Affaires (ESA), and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Social and Community Organization from Saint Joseph University and in Hospitality Management from Notre Dame University. He is also a 2008 Yale World Fellow.
