Gilbert Doumit

Public Management & Public Policy

Gilbert Doumit is a founding partner and consultant at Beyond Group. He is the Group’s enabler and manages the organization’s growth, strategic development and international expansion across all three practices. Gilbert catalyzes multi-stakeholder projects within both the public and private sectors.

Over the course of his career, Gilbert has supported governments and public institutions in developing strategies, building their capacities, and implementing policies for meaningful change that are both sustainable and scalable. Through Beyond Group’s multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral services, Gilbert has served governments, United Nations agencies, donors and international organizations while engaging stakeholders in the design and implementation of innovative, change-driven solutions around the world. 

In addition to his work in the public sector, Gilbert has also catalyzed the design of experiential learning programs in support of organizational development and transformation. His contribution to capacity building in leadership and management has aided seasoned entrepreneurs and multinational organizations in recognizing their most valuable assets, their people, and placing them at the center of all organizational plans, activities and decisions.  

Gilbert has facilitated a leadership development seminar at Yale University within the Master’s of Advanced Management at the School of Management and the pre-MBA program at the Yale Center in Beijing. He is also a lecturer at Université Saint Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon, teaching courses on cultural mediation and social entrepreneurship.

Gilbert has delivered many lectures and presentations at conferences by the United Nations, the World Bank Group, Yale University, Harvard University, the World Innovation Summit for Education, The Sharjah Government Communication Forum, the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies, the European University Institute, and universities around the world.

He is a World Fellow (2008) at Yale University, a board member of the the Center for Lebanese Studies, a founding member of Injaz Lebanon, and a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide.

Gilbert holds a Bachelor’s in Social and Community Organization from Saint-Joseph University, a Bachelor's in Hotel Management and Toursim from Notre-Dame University, as well as a Master's of Advanced Management from Ecole Superieures de Commerce de Paris (ESCP), and a Master's of Business Administration from Ecole Superieure des Affaires (ESA). He is also a World Fellow at Yale University.
